Early careers scheme

Since joining as a graduate in October 2020, Customer Experience Consultant James Brooker has hit the ground running, supported by the Civica Academy and external training courses.

“I’ve completed four certifications so far: three with Neilson Norman Group and one with the British Computing Society, with the latter counting towards my international diploma in business analysis.

“My team’s also created loads of opportunities for me to get to know everyone informally, from virtual takeaway and games nights, to in person socials.

“For me, one of the most noticeable strengths amongst my cohort is enthusiasm. When you’re starting out, you’re eager to make a good impression, learn new skills, achieve results and kick start a career. With the right support and structure in place, this enthusiasm, combined with previous education and developed soft skills, can produce an invaluable member of the team that is a fantastic asset to Civica.”
