Hyndburn chooses Civica cloud software to support greener, more integrated approach
- New integrated finance and HR system will provide single view of data across the Council
- Supports Council-wide green ICT agenda by removing paper and eliminating need for several servers
- Cloud and mobile applications will create better agile working for employees with instant authorisation on-the-go
Hyndburn Council is set to transform finance and human resources management via a new Civica cloud platform.
The Lancashire Council, which serves more than 80,000 residents and employs 300+ people, will implement Civica Financials and People Hub as one integrated cloud platform in a new five-year agreement.
The cloud finance software will replace manual processes with better integration for ease of access to information across systems. This will give more control over data around budgetary spend and improved fraud prevention.
The Civica People Hub mobile app will increase employee digital engagement with staff able to self-serve online for all tasks such as booking leave or sickness notifications. It will offer the Council better data insight and advanced reporting and analytics.

Hyndburn Council
The new Civica platforms will bring all the benefits of a streamlined, integrated finance and HR system which will significantly eliminate paper-based working and help reduce our carbon footprint as we rationalise on-premise servers.
This is a culture change for us as a Council: it’s not just a new system, it’s more changing working processes for our employees for the better and providing the best automated cloud solutions for us both today and into the future.
