The Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) has selected Civica for its new learning and continuing professional development (CPD) platform, enhancing the knowledge and skills, and maintaining professional standards and competence of its member community.
RAeS is the world’s only professional body dedicated to the aerospace community. They seek to promote the highest professional standards and provide a central forum for sharing knowledge.
Pearl Mensah, Director of Membership and Professional Standards at the RAeS said, “Learning and development is crucial for all aeronautical and aerospace professionals, whether they’re in education, newly qualified and just started their careers or are experienced professionals.”

Director of Membership and Professional Standards at the RAeS
To enhance the service we provide members, we have partnered with Civica to deliver a modern and easy-to-use learning and CPD platform. This underlines our commitment to our members, providing them with a leading service to network, learn and share knowledge.
RAeS will use Civica Learning (formerly Agylia) to deliver a range of learning content, including eLearning courses, webinars, video and audio lectures, articles, eBooks, journals, and events to its member community.
In addition to the learning content accessed via the platform, RAeS members will be able to record learning undertaken outside of the platform, including attending in-house or external courses, work-based learning, self-directed private study, delivery of or attendance at lectures, presentations, seminars or conferences, and mentoring.
With Civica Learning members will be able to take ownership of their initial professional development (IPD) and CPD record and track their progress by adding activities, evidence - such as certificates of attendance - and reflections, either through the desktop portal or App. This ensures members can commit time to their learning and professional development activities whether they are at work, at home or travelling.
RAeS members will also be able to share their IPD and CPD plans and records with mentors, who can comment, provide feedback, and share their professional expertise.
