Over lockdown I was made redundant from my role in Finance. While I looked for other roles, I decided to take up a temporary position issuing at home Covid vaccinations.
My sister, Holley knew I was thinking about my next steps, and she mentioned that an opportunity had come up in her team at Civica. This would be a bit of a career change from my previous roles in Finance, but I was up for the challenge!

My first two years with Civica have absolutely flown by; Soph knew how happy I was in my role, so the opportunity to join me in my team was an easy sell… I put her in touch with my manager and the rest is history.

Alan and I have known each other a long time as I’m very good friends with his wife, who I used to work with at Scottish & Southern Energy.
Alan’s been with Civica for a number of years, so when he heard I was looking for a new career move he recommended me for a PM role. I got through to interview and received some good feedback, but in the end, I wasn’t quite right for that role.
Fast-forward a few months and Alan said he’d seen another role which he thought I might be a good fit. This was a new opportunity within our Sales team, which was a bit different to the original PM role which I’d applied for before, but it required similar skillset and knowledgebase.
I got stuck into the role from the get go and I’m absolutely loving it!
