Trafford Council moves regulatory services to the cloud with Civica
- Greater Manchester authority is moving to Civica’s Cx Regulatory Services platform to improve citizen experience via enhanced data integrity
Trafford Council is set to transform regulatory services for 235,000 residents via a new cloud software partnership with GovTech leader Civica.
A longstanding Civica customer, the Council will bring in Civica’s Cx Regulatory Services platform in a new five-year contract.
The new platform will help deal more efficiently with high priority areas including local business licensing, environmental health and trading standards.
Residents and businesses will be able to get answers to queries more quickly online thanks to a new customer portal. Increased automation means Cx will also capture data better and enable improved reporting and analytics to enhance decision making and manage cases faster.
The powerful communications engine will not only ensure better connected people but will also reduce dependence on costly servers and enable Council officers to spend more time on the front line.
Cllr Rose Thompson,
Trafford Council’s Executive Member for Communities and Safety
At a time when our budget is being stretched so thinly, the new Civica platform provides excellent value for money. It will be better for residents and businesses as they can get their queries answered more efficiently while also improving our Council-wide regulatory services. Joining up all our data in the cloud will help us see trends in our communities which allow us to plan and improve services for the future too.
Luke Norfolk,
Managing Director,
Regulatory Services at Civica
We’re very pleased to continue supporting Trafford Council as it moves more critical citizen services to the cloud. With all the data needed at their fingertips, council officers can help residents more efficiently and quickly, however they choose to interact.
Civica provides regulatory services software for more than 200 public sector organisations across the UK. This latest agreement continues strong momentum for Civica’s Cx digital platform, with other Councils including St Helens Borough Council, and Nottingham City Council.
